to start off. i'm 13 years old. and i found this site through a search on google, " What can I do when I'm angry to calm myself down? ". but anyway. i really feel that i have some major anger issues.
i get angry about the smallest things. i feel like my family are getting sick of me because of my anger. i live with my mother and grandparents. i am mostly home with my grandma and therefore we have the most issues between each other. she is always nagging me! she'll repeat herself over and over and i can't help but get angry! she also calls me stupid little names like bunny and sweetheart and that just really gets me angry. do you have any advice on what i can do to not get so angry with her??
my family also tells me i have a tone when i speak to them. sometimes if someone tells me something i don't want to hear like "go feed the cat or go do this" i'll say okay with a bit of an attitude because i think thats just how i am. and i get grounded for it. i really hate it when i don't have a tone and my mother will say i have one! and then i get REALLY angry and start yelling. do you maybe have any suggestions about what i can do to maybe not have a tone or get upset so easily when i'm told to do something??
i really do not know what to do anymore. i feel that my family is falling apart because of me, so if you can help in any way please do. i just dont want my anger to be the reason my family falls apart :[

It sounds like you might want to try being more assertive than aggressive. If something someone says or does is bugging you, you can say a couple of sentences to them, like
"When you ...(insert problem)....
it makes me feel ....(insert how their speech/action affects you)...
I would appreciate it if you ....(insert proposed solution)...."
but do this in a calm manner. It shows you understand the situation, and lets others know your feelings so hopefully they will respect those feelings.
Hope this helps.
