Topic: Hi everyone, I'd like to introduce myself. :)

Message: Hello everyone! My given birth name is Michael. One thing people often say to me upon first meeting or after spending a significant amount time together is that they have felt like they've known me their whole life. Basically, I can get a long with anyone and talk deeply about life and how they really feel. I really enjoy this. The past 7 years or so I've been passionate about vibrant-radiant health, longevity, healing, lasting happiness, self-help, abundance, etc. I research a lot and continue to absorb and hopefully cultivate all the beneficial ways towards my fulfillment and sharing that knowledge with others. I grew up in a small town in southeastern Wisconsin and played soccer all my life. All experiences are not created equally so I know there's many different opinions, ideals, philosophies, etc.. on many of the topics at hand. There's so much we can learn from our world and each other. I'm looking forward to chatting, sharing story and discussion. Have the most blessed day! warm regards, michael george

hair loss in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: hair loss

Message: Excess hair loss can have many different causes. Hair will regrow spontaneously in some forms of hair loss. Other forms can be treated successfully by a dermatologist.Iron deficiency may cause hair loss. Some people don't have enough iron in their diets or may not fully absorb iron. Women who have heavy menstrual periods may develop iron deficiency. Furthermore most of the in the pre-menopausal women were found to have iron deficiency. One method of controlling iron deficiency in the body is to stimulate the liver to synthesis ferritin, the protein that stores iron in order to maintain the correct balance. Hair follicles are known to contain ferritin, and when the circulating stores of ferritin decline then these stores are called upon to ensure support for more essential cells, such as bone marrow. The loss of this ferritin from the follicle cells can effect the ability of the hair to grow. A lot of dermatologists may not agree to the fact that iron deficiency could be a major cause of hair loss, however most of them dont deny that it is an important contributing factor, besides, a lot of hair loss treatments may not work efficiently with low iron stores.Check under the following link given below about hair fall problem:http://www.ndri.com/forum/view_topic-pid-47.html#p47You might get help.

The three prequisites for quality of life... in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: The three prequisites for quality of life...

Message: Many people are often quite confused about what they should try to achieve in life. Now, living the last stage of life I can reflect on important objectives of life. For me there are three: i) achieving materialist security ii) discovering and developing ones unique abilities and talents iii) Finding the (almost illusive) emotionally compatible partner. After we fulfilled these three demands we’ll be able to focus onto quality of life, which basically consists of eliminating or minimizing all inconveniences or suffering. Before that it’s not possible, because it’s vital to sort out one's basic living requirements or else one is overwhelmed by too many problems. Thus, drugs aren't offering the solution.

: Do I have to be nice to people who aren't nice to me??? in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: : Do I have to be nice to people who aren't nice to me???

Message: Yes, I experienced my share of it, too. These people seem to suffer terribly and so, try to take it out on other people. Things get even worse when they are in leading positions; such as your foreman or boss. (Remember: If you want to really get to know someone, just give him/her power!)Thus, I regard and treat them as ‘emotionally sick people’, try to avoid/ignore them, but when I have to deal with them I just do the necessary. Occasionally, I even surprise them with a little gift; just as one does with ailing people. Little else one can do to change them for the better. In fact I met people who simply enjoy hurting other people. That's the only way they know to enjoy life, imagine! How come? I guess many of us inherited and/or environmentally aquired lots of negative pre-dispositions; such as greed, selfishness, power-hunger, possessiveness, aggression, rage, envy etc. Thus, the only way we ever could rid ourselves of these evils is by systematically dismantling them and aquire postive pre-dispositions, instead. Simple, isn't it? :) >>> I'm willing to do it and if you are ready for it, then there are already two of us! Sadly, our society seems to rather promote the former... and our moral preachers and teachers do little/ nothing to reverse this trend.

Topic: : Do I have to be nice to people who aren't nice to me???

Message: I am the same way, most of the time. I think for me it stems from years and years in the restaurant business where "the customer is always right". My way of dealing with people who are not nice to me is to "kill them with kindness" -- I really go over board (very obviously so) w/niceness to people who are mean. What it ends up doing is making them look really stupid, sometimes even making them feel really stupid (but not always), and i can walk away and know that i am still a nice person, i didn't have to insult or offend anyone to prove anything!

Adults with mental retardation/developmental disablities in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: Adults with mental retardation/developmental disablities

Message: I'm looking for some ideas from everyone/anyone. I run an Adult Training Facility where we service individuals who are severly/profoundly mentally challenged, and most of them are also affected by various medical diagnosis as well (several are wheel chair bound). I need ideas of places we can take them into the community. This may sound like a strange request, but i am running out of ideas; it seems we go to the same places and do the same things over and over (bowling, restaurants, concerts). We live in a small town in Mercer County Pennsylvania, which is part of our problem -- there is not much here!!!! However, our individuals deserve to go out and experience new things, just as much as anyone else does! Does anyone have any ideas to help us out?? It would be greatly appreciated!!!

How do I talk to a person with AntiSocial Personality? in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: How do I talk to a person with AntiSocial Personality?

Message: Chris, I am very sorry to hear that. Whoever he married in your family (your sister?) will have a very rough time ahead because he is incapable of loving her. The only way not to be manipulated is to disbelieve everything that comes out of this man's mouth unless you have undeniable, third-party proof that it's true. Lying is like breathing to them. Tips for talking to a sociopath: stay away from politics as ASPDs tend to be fanatics for very questionable factions; avoid religion because no matter what he says, he is an atheist; don't tell him sad stories of any kind or talk about the sweet thing your child did the other day as he cannot comprehend kindness and empathy. It's best to keep your conversations factual and to a minimum... maybe about his line of work or something. Find all the literature you can on ASPD and show it to your family member. My best advice possible is for her to leave this person while she is still able to do so. No matter what, she shouldn't have children with him. It will tie them together forever, and that's the last thing she wants.

: Do I have to be nice to people who aren't nice to me??? in Mental Health : Personal Growth

Topic: : Do I have to be nice to people who aren't nice to me???

Message: To the fearful it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. It has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind.To the hopeful it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better. If I deal with people that aren't nice to me, I give them just as much attention that they deserve. If it is work, I keep the conversation to work related things, I will say "Hi" when spoken to, but I avoid personal or chatting situations. At play, I ignore the people, and only speak if spoken to. It really depends on "Who You Want To Be". Others see how you relate to people, what type of person do you want them to see. You have to look at yourself in the mirror each morning. Act in ways that make you proud to see your reflection. Most importantly, follow your heart. If you are overly nice to someone, and allowing yourself to be lessened by that person, your are not doing your self-esteem any favor. I try not to let my upset at others encourage me to lower to their level. By treating them without anger and rudeness, I maintain my integrity. By walking away when I do not want to deal with them, they know that I do not appreciate their behavior.hope, it will help u,take careRichard:)
