red inflamed hands

I'm not a germaphobe but I do tend to wash my hands more than I probably should. In doing this they get red, mostly around the joints (knuckles, wrist, etc) Does anybody know a specific, or not so specific, cream to use to help with the redness? thanks

Re: red inflamed hands

This is also one kind of phobia. People who suffer from these phobias rarely have any other psychiatric or psychological problems. Although most of us have at one time or another said we are “phobic” about something, in reality, that is not the case. Proper mindset in place and the right tools to face life’s daily challenges, facing our anxiety phobias and fears can get much easier over time. Try to find out your own way. The personal motivation to expose oneself to the feared object and to tolerate the anxiety is the most important aspect to overcome your problem.

Apply a hydrophobic emollient such as Vaseline as a preventive measure of redness. But the area that already got redness you must apply an oily base anti allergic ointment & do try not to wash your hands repeatedly.
