I have had a stomach pain for 8 months now. I am seeing a specialist but its just taking so long. It hurst nearly all day and gets worse when i eat. I cannot stand straight after eating and have to sit with a pillow on my lap. I have also lost 12kg in the first 3 months of problem starting.
I have had loads of tests done for blood and stuff and they come back ok.
A couple of weeks ago i had a biopsy to check for celiac disease, the results were negative. However when they took the biopsy they noticed my duodenum was inflammed. My doctor is still unsure of what might be causing this. I ma having the following tests done.
I have previously has a stomach biopsy and there were also no stomach ulsers or inflamation.
Celiac blood test
Helicobacter pylori (I have had this in the past)
Gallbladder Screen
Can Helicobacter pylori flatten the folds of the duodenum?
Can excess bile produced from the gallblader flatten the folds of the duodenum?
I understand that it could still be celiac disease but been on the gluten free diet for a few weeks and the pain is just as bad.
Things are taking so long and just feel a little assistance may help in pinpointing the problem.
Thanks for reading this and look forward to you response
