Since yesterday I have been feeling itchy all over with swollen, stiff hands and feet. My hands and feet feel like I've been stung by a bee several times. I have all over red blotchiness on my body but not a raised rash.

I don't have a fever or other symptoms, although I was feeling really tired yesterday and last week I had a mild cold with fever for one day.

I've never had an allergic reaction before to anything so I am worried this is more than an allergic reaction.

I am 6 months pregnant, which makes me even more worried.

I've been to a doctor here, but Jakarta doctors are not well known for being right - the doctor prescribed an antihistamine (Claritin) but said it could take days to work.

Is there any chance it is something other than an allergy?

Allergy during pregnancy is not abnormal. It’s nothing to be scared. Just try to find out which allergen (what make you allergic of any particular substance) made you allergic and avoid that. You can read the following article for better idea. Click the link below:
